I have used E.M. Free DVD copy recently, I riped the DVD to ipod easily, the video quality is excellent, and it can lets me rip dvd to other popular formats. such as h264, Xvid, MOV, VOB, Mpeg, Mpeg4, Mpeg TS, AVI, WMV. so, I can play the video on most portable player. in addition to, the new version add some very useful fuctions. Let’s can copy dvd to hard disc or burn the DVD to another blank dvd disc.

I really like iPod Video Converter + DVD to iPod Converter Suite by Cucusoft. It isn’t free, but it has worked quite well for me. You can download a free trial to check it out, but it does put a banner across the output in the trial version.
