DVD To iPod News and Information

I’m wanting to put some videos on my iPod (not movies). Is there a converter I can use that will allow me to pick and choose particular parts from the DVD? I have a DVD with some cartoons on it and I want just a couple on my iPod. I have already looked at the different kinds of converters. I am also using the Trial Version of Cucusoft and it doesn’t appear to be able to do the specific task that I mentioned above. I don’t want to convert the entire DVD. Just parts of it. But I can’t find that option in the reviews.
