iphone 3gHave you been eyeing the new iPhone 3G but wonder whether the features justify the higher price tag? You can get some major upgrades for your money.

First, the new iPhone operates on the AT&T 3G network versus the older EDGE network. In many cases, web surfing will be faster with 3G, but your experience may vary based on your location and coverage. Some locales still don’t have access to the 3G network . Note that using the 3G network will greatly reduce your battery life.

The case is pretty much the same as the case for the older version. The back of the case is now plastic instead of the previous aluminum. A grill over the speakers and earpiece help to improve sound quality. The headphone jack has been changed to allow standard headphones to work without having to use an adapter.
